At the end of their first week at @buttondales every girl gets a bow.
All of the girls in the higher classes wear one virtually all the time. Seemingly they’ve mastered the way to combine them with every outfit. The bow was always outstanding.
For us new-arrivals this seemed odd at first. Nowhere else so many girls in bows were to be seen. But as we got our first ones and the older girls encouraged us to put them on it became clear why they loved them so much.
Bows were just perfect. And every look in a mirror or view of the reflection when passing by a window just underlined this even more. Feminine and ornate. We all wondered how we couldn’t know about them before.
There was another obsession we couldn’t understand at first. Bunny Ears. The older girls seemed to love them, they always fancied about how much they loved the bunny time.
We didn’t really understand until the first time we got put into the full outfit by one of the older girls. The moment they put the hair circlet with the bunny ears onto our heads it felt different. Silly. A more playful appearance. We giggled as we saw ourselves in the mirror for the first time.
But it made sense. Bunnies were cute and playful. And that was exactly how we felt.
It felt good to be a bunny. A bit of a chat, a giggle. It was all about having fun.
But it also felt good to take of the costume. To redo your hair and put in a bow. A matching dress and it had such a calming effect. A last quick glance in the mirror and off to the next chores.
